Terms of Service

If you connect a business bank account to Junk Compass, you represent that you are authorized to connect that account on behalf of your business.

The bank connection feature is provided for legitimate business use: identifying income and expenses, reconciling deposits against jobs, preparing cash-basis profit and loss reports, and keeping accurate accounting records. It is not a general-purpose data export tool.

The bank connection is read-only. Junk Compass cannot withdraw, transfer, or otherwise move money in or out of any connected account. No payment-initiation or money-movement functionality is part of this feature.

When you classify a bank transaction, you are responsible for reviewing that its direction, category, job, and amount are correct and for correcting mistakes. Junk Compass shows the data your bank reports; it does not independently verify a transaction's accounting treatment.

Bank data is supplied by Plaid and your financial institution. This data may be delayed, temporarily unavailable, missing, duplicated, or later corrected by your bank. Junk Compass is not responsible for inaccuracies originating from your bank or from Plaid.

Bank connectivity is provided by Plaid Inc. Your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid's own terms and end-user privacy policy. Junk Compass does not control, and is not responsible for, the conduct of Plaid or of your financial institution.

You may disconnect a bank account at any time from Financials. Junk Compass may suspend or disconnect a bank connection if required by Plaid, by your financial institution, by law, or to protect the security of the service.

Junk Compass provides the bank connection feature on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Junk Compass disclaims warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of bank data, and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this feature.

Google Maps Platform provides address suggestions, maps, geocoding, and routes. Those features are subject to Google's Google Maps terms. Routes, coordinates, arrival estimates, and third-party map data may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate and must not replace a driver's judgment or safe driving practices.

Crew location sharing is optional and intended only for active dispatch operations. Owners and setters may use a crew member's latest shared location only for legitimate business coordination. They may not use it for unrelated surveillance. Browser location updates are best effort and may stop when a browser is backgrounded or a device is locked.

Any dispute arising from these Terms is governed by the dispute resolution provisions of the general Junk Compass Terms of Service that apply to your account.
